FRAME MAKING: I choose to make my own frames for all my canvases…both small and large. Customer response has always been very positive…preferring them over store bought/commercial frames. They are more work but the end  results are worth it.

Once assembled and sanded, I paint the insides with a black acrylic paint. The rest of the visible frame is painted with a speciality soft gold acrylic paint…so much better than the orange gold often seen on commercial frames! It takes at least three coats of this paint. Then I attach the canvas with screws form the back. Finally I add hanging wire, etc.

I have been involved with fine art, photography and 3D design for over 35 years. I am always in the process of learning, experimenting with different ideas/approaches. I want to be able to share some of my experience and also hopefully learn from others. One can never stop improving...
