However, every painting has a story, the emotional input...the challenges that went into the finished painting…the frustrations, the uncertainties, the frequent painfully slow evolution.
I think it is quite interesting to witness any artist willing to expose their train of thoughts. The old masters did not have a means (photography and the internet, etc.) to document the evolution of a painting.
It is indeed rare that one of my larger paintings bolts from start to finish without many iterations…This painting is typical of the progress. I am now able to use Photoshop to quickly experiment with ideas before changing the canvas…
This new (Photoshoped) "rough" direction is now ready to be "transferred" to the canvas…but please do not expect the finished painting to look just like this!!
